Target Concentration Report

The Target Concentration report shows how many target users are located in an analysis area.

It can be viewed in standard table format and as an interactive map. For each analysis area you select, use the report to view the total number of target members, their concentration within the area, and the potential for penetrating the target.

You can use the report to identify concentrations of a target group or individual targets within the group.

Using a selected segmentation system (Claritas PRIZM Premier households, etc.), you can generate the report to include standard or custom target groups. You can create and save a specialized target group of users likely to purchase a product based on age, income, etc. You can configure the report to include all the targets in the group or only specific individual targets.

You can also use the report to analyze your market potential. The report provides detailed information about your selected target audience within the defined analysis areas. For each area, you can view the:

  • Total number of households and percentage of the total table
  • Total number of target households
  • Percentage of households that are targets
  • Percentage of target households compared to all households in the analysis area (penetration)
  • An index showing the propensity of a household to be a target

The above information helps you analyze the percentage penetration, target household counts, and indexes to identify areas that may include more receptive prospects.

To generate the Target Concentration report, you need to perform the following:

  1. Select a segmentation system and a base.
  2. Select a target group.
  3. Select target(s).
  4. Select an analysis area, level of detail, and preferred sort method.
  5. Specify an output delivery method and the report name.
