Create a Thematic Map

You can create a customized thematic map that shows visual themes for any standard or custom geographic or demographic breakdown using the Interactive Map.

To create a thematic map, on the Interactive Map Action toolbar, click the Theme Manager icon (). When the Theme Manager pane appears, you need to perform the following:

1. Specify the theme type that you want to create, the theme level, and the method by which you want to include the areas.
2. Specify the range of the theme display on the map (i.e.,extent).
3. Specify the variable that you want to use for theming.
4. Define your thematic map details (e.g., subtotal method, no. of ranges, etc.).
5. Save your thematic settings for reuse.
6. (Optional) Modify your displayed thematic map.
